The city of Thane witnessed a spirited celebration of Gudi Padwa as Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde participated in the festivities. Addressing the media, he expressed his wishes for a prosperous New Year while underscoring the importance of happiness and success for the state.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis joined the grand 'Gudi Padwa Shobha Yatra' in Nagpur, welcoming thousands of residents to partake in the colorful event. Fadnavis conveyed his Hindu New Year greetings, noting the vibrant atmosphere and the symbolic significance of the Gudi in Indian culture.
Joining the celebration were Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar and numerous other participants who showcased cultural performances and processions. The event, marked by traditional lezim dance and Varkari groups, highlighted the city's cultural richness, with depictions of historical figures adding to the festive spirit.
