Midnight Downpour Halts Hyderabad's Vibrant Ramadan Festivities

A sudden midnight downpour significantly disrupted Ramadan festivities in Hyderabad's old city on Wednesday night. The unforeseen weather led to a temporary standstill in the bustling activity, particularly from Charminar to Madina Building, as residents sought shelter from the rain, halting their all-night shopping plans.

Earlier in the week, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy joined a state-sponsored Dawat-e-Iftar at LB Stadium on Monday. The event also saw attendance from Telangana Minister Mohammad Azharuddin and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Emphasizing Ramadan's spiritual significance, the Chief Minister underscored the shared joy of the government-hosted Iftar for fasting Muslims.

CM Reddy highlighted the sacredness of Ramadan, marking it as the time of the Quran's revelation. He spoke of prayer's role in global wellbeing and unity, reinforcing the act of fasting—one of Islam's Five Pillars. Eid al-Fitr will conclude the month, marked by communal celebrations and charity.
