Starting April 1, Rajasthan will begin the procurement of rabi crops, including mustard and gram, under a minimum support price (MSP) scheme. Farmer registration for this initiative will start on March 20, officials informed.

Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Jaipur Rural, Uday Deep Singh Rathore, announced that only registered farmers will be entitled to sell their produce at the MSP this marketing season, which spans 2026-27. The MSP is set at Rs 5,875 per quintal for gram and Rs 6,200 per quintal for mustard.

To facilitate this process, 42 procurement centres have been installed in Jaipur district. A toll-free helpline, 1800-180-6001, has been established to assist farmers with any concerns related to the procurement process.
