NCP (SCP) MP Fauzia Khan has endorsed the demand for an FIR in the Baramati plane crash that claimed the life of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. This plea, initiated by party leader Rohit Pawar, raises concerns over potential governmental transparency issues regarding the crash investigation.
During a press interaction, Fauzia Khan questioned the government's reluctance to register an FIR, voicing public suspicion and demanding deeper scrutiny. Rohit Pawar also pressed for an investigation during a meeting with Rahul Gandhi, sharing relevant files and highlighting the lack of an FIR registration.
The Learjet 45 crash on January 28, carrying Ajit Pawar and four others, exposed multiple non-compliance issues in air operations. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau noted visibility below required levels at Baramati, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive safety audit.
