Arunachal Pradesh Tops Fiscal Health Index 2023-24
Arunachal Pradesh leads in the Fiscal Health Index for 2023-24 among North Eastern and Himalayan states, as per a NITI Aayog report. The Index evaluates fiscal performance based on expenditure quality, revenue, fiscal prudence, debt, and sustainability. Pema Khandu lauds this achievement and vows continued fiscal transparency and sustainable development.

Arunachal Pradesh has secured the top position in the Fiscal Health Index (FHI) for 2023-24 among North Eastern and Himalayan states, revealed a report by NITI Aayog.
The FHI, a tool for assessing state fiscal performance, evaluates aspects including expenditure quality and revenue mobilization. NITI Aayog's vice chairman, Suman Berry, announced the findings in New Delhi.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu celebrated the recognition, highlighting commitments to fiscal responsibility, revenue improvement, and resource utilization, aiming for sustainable development.
