The Jammu and Kashmir administration has reassured citizens about the stability of fuel supplies, stating that there is adequate stock of essential fuels, including high-speed diesel, motor spirit, and LPG.
Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Anshul Garg emphasized that the current stock levels can meet the valley's demand comfortably for 13 days, extending up to 15 to 20 days at maximum supply. The administration is closely monitoring the situation to ensure consistent availability.
Garg also urged the public to rely on official updates rather than resort to panic buying and highlighted that a recent central restriction on commercial LPG does not affect domestic consumers, hospitals, or educational institutions. Local authorities are prepared to address any issues to prevent disruptions to essential services.
