K Kavitha, founder of Telangana Jagruthi, has sharply condemned the Congress-led state government for reportedly violating constitutional norms by demolishing 750 houses in Khammam city in a single day. Kavitha, addressing ANI, criticized the government for contradicting its claimed support for the Constitution while allegedly acting against it.

In a fiery protest to demand immediate redress for the evicted families of Velugumatla, Khammam district, Kavitha has launched an indefinite hunger strike from the Telangana Jagruthi Central Office in Banjara Hills. Despite her arrest and relocation to Hyderabad, she remains adamant to pursue her strike until justice is served.

Kavitha has vociferously urged the government to pledge the reconstruction of houses on the original site of their demolition in Velugumatla. She claims these actions form part of a broader plan to displace the poor for the benefit of affluent individuals as land prices surged.
