Congress MP Jyothimani has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his government's alleged lack of preparedness in handling the LPG shortage crisis in Tamil Nadu. The shortages, attributed to ongoing tensions in West Asia, have led to disruptions affecting households and small businesses, including shops and tea stalls.

In a statement to ANI, Jyothimani emphasized the widespread public dissatisfaction, noting that many families are struggling to receive their pre-booked gas cylinders. She accused the Prime Minister of prioritizing elections over critical issues and questioned the absence of a strategic plan amidst the geopolitical ripple effects caused by the conflict.

Adding to the political pressure, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi demanded transparency from the Central government. She called for an explanation regarding the contradicting reports on LPG reserves and the emerging crisis that has impacted various sectors, including the hotel and manufacturing industries.
