Peruvian President Jose Balcazar announced on Tuesday that repairs to a crucial gas pipeline are projected to be completed by Friday. This progress will resuscitate the nation's natural gas supply over the weekend.

Efforts to mend the marked rupture in the pipeline located within Cusco's Megantoni district have been ongoing since early this month, hampering the regular flow of natural gas across Peru.

In a press briefing, Balcazar confirmed that the company, Transportadora de Gas, aims to restore the flow of natural gas by Saturday, with distribution expected to return to normal on Sunday.
