In a significant development in the Uttam Nagar murder case, Delhi Minister Pankaj Singh announced the arrest of nine individuals and mentioned ongoing efforts to trace additional suspects. The minister emphasized the government's commitment to taking stringent action against those involved in the crime, which includes targeting illegally constructed properties connected to the accused.

In an interview with ANI, Singh stated, "The police have arrested 9 people. The search for 2-3 more individuals continues. Whoever commits such an incident will not be spared. Their (the accused's) house is also illegal. Action is being taken against their house as well." This statement comes amid a Delhi Police investigation into the murder of a youth in Uttam Nagar, who was beaten to death during a dispute on Holi day.

Police reports indicate that the incident occurred on March 4, following a conflict over a balloon during Holi celebrations, resulting in a violent clash. The victim, Tarun, succumbed to his injuries. Deputy Commissioner of Police Kushal Pal Singh revealed that multiple arrests have been made, highlighting the recent detention of the eighth accused, Imran alias Bunty, 38, as part of the ongoing investigation.
