A young biotechnology student from GD Goenka University lies in critical condition at AIIMS Delhi after a brutal assault by her live-in partner. The 19-year-old woman's ordeal unfolded after a heated argument, revealing tensions within their relationship.
The accused, also 19 and identified as Shivam, was apprehended by the police. He is accused of violently attacking the woman in a fit of jealousy and rage. Their relationship started a few months ago and had recently escalated to a serious level with marriage discussions underway.
Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation. Deputy Commissioner of Police Hitesh Yadav confirmed the arrest and ongoing interrogation, as well as efforts to piece together evidence, including CCTV footage. An FIR has been filed, and legal proceedings have commenced.
