Tragic Accident: Lineman Electrocuted During Repair Work

A young lineman tragically lost his life to electrocution while conducting repairs on a high-tension line Saturday evening, officials confirmed. Sardum, a 25-year-old from Arangi village, was working near Adsad village when he contacted a live wire due to a failure to disconnect the main supply.
Sardum, employed at the Amda power substation, suffered severe burns and was rushed to Barhani Primary Health Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Executive Engineer Vipin Kumar revealed that the victim was not utilizing any safety gear at the time of his death.
In the aftermath of the incident, the electricity department pledged Rs 10 lakh in compensation to Sardum's family. Meanwhile, Circle Officer Devendra Kumar stated that an internal investigation has commenced to address the breach of safety protocols.
