Mizoram Greenlights Sustainable Energy Plant by Mumbai Firm
The Mizoram government approved a proposal by Mumbai's FC Tech Energy Company to set up a fuel cell and sustainable energy plant. The project aims to generate energy from plastic waste. An official delegation from Mizoram will visit Mumbai to study the company's existing plant operations.

The Mizoram government has given an in-principle nod to FC Tech Energy Company, a Mumbai-based firm, to establish a fuel cell and sustainable energy processing plant in the state. Official sources confirmed the decision after Chief Minister Lalduhoma chaired a meeting of the state's Empowered Committee on Investment.
Fuel cells, which convert hydrogen into energy, are known for their environmentally friendly attributes. Representatives from FC Tech elaborated on their innovative approach to generating energy from plastic waste and outlined their infrastructure needs, including land, water, and power supply. The committee agreed to the proposal and plans to send a delegation to Mumbai to inspect the company's operational plant.
Additionally, discussions during the meeting covered the potential site locations and reviewed the progress of a ginger processing unit under construction in Champhai district, spearheaded by Opickpure Private Limited. The project's investment totals Rs 2.50 crore and is progressing towards completion.
