NTPC Green Energy Ltd has taken a significant step in renewable energy expansion by commissioning a 125-megawatt solar capacity at Phalodi in Rajasthan. This project is a segment of the larger 500 megawatt Bhadla Solar PV Project managed by the company's subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.

According to the company, the new capacity has been declared for commercial operation as of 00:00 hours on January 31, 2026, based on certification from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC).

With this development, the overall commercial capacity of the NGEL Group, a division of power giant NTPC Ltd, will rise to an impressive 8,813.25 MW, marking a notable achievement in India's renewable energy sector.
