A tragic incident unfolded at the Rawatbhatta Atomic Power Station in Rajasthan when a labourer passed away days after a hydrogen sulphide gas leak. The deceased, Dharmendra Lohar, had been under ventilator support in a Kota hospital and succumbed to his injuries late Sunday.

The gas leakage occurred on October 25 during maintenance work in the heavy water plant, affecting Lohar and four other workers. While his colleagues have since recovered and been discharged, the loss of Lohar has sparked demands for accountability and compensation from his family, who allege negligence by the plant management.

Authorities have confirmed that a postmortem examination is being conducted, and the body will be released to the family once completed. An ongoing investigation aims to uncover the details of the incident, as called for by Lohar's sister, Seema Lohar.
