In a tragic accident in the Rangareddy district of Telangana, a collision between a truck and a bus resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao expressed deep condolences to the affected families and stressed the importance of government intervention to prevent speed-related accidents.

In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs from the Prime Minister National Relief Fund for the next of kin of each deceased, along with Rs. 50,000 for those injured. His messages conveyed distress over the incident and hopes for the swift recovery of the injured.

In addition, Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar pledged further financial aid amounting to Rs. 5 lakh from the government and Rs. 2 lakh from the RTC to support the bereaved families. The collision, involving a TGSRTC bus and a truck near the Chevella police station limits, took place after the truck approached from the wrong direction, according to officials.
