Uttarakhand's Silver Jubilee: Celebrating Growth and Empowerment

During the silver jubilee session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, President Droupadi Murmu lauded the state's advancements since its inception. Highlighting significant improvements in the Human Development Index, she commended efforts in women's empowerment and anticipated increased female participation in the legislative body.
President Murmu applauded the state's strides in literacy rates and health services, noting declines in maternal and infant mortality. She celebrated the appointment of Ritu Khanduri Bhushan as the first woman Speaker and the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code under constitutional guidelines.
The President expressed admiration for the transparency and social justice-driven legislation passed by the assembly. During her visit to Uttarakhand, which runs from November 2 to 4, she will attend functions in Nainital and participate in the 20th convocation of Kumaun University.
