Ador Powertron has launched a 30kW AC-DC converter module under its Yonder brand, designed to power DC fast-chargers for electric vehicles. This move, aligning with India's PM E-DRIVE initiative, emphasizes an indigenous approach to reduce dependency on imported components for charging infrastructure.

The Pune-based company's converter has cleared ARAI testing and meets IEC and IS standards, positioning it for integration with domestic chargers. As part of a broader push for localization, Ador Powertron's product line aims to support India's Make-in-India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by enhancing domestic value addition in the e-mobility sector.

The converter boasts a peak efficiency of 96%, a power factor of ≥0.99, and a forced-air cooling system. These features are crucial for reducing charger losses and meeting thermal design requirements across India's diverse climate conditions, ensuring effective power management for both urban and rural areas.
