Shimla Gears Up for Grand Commemoration of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's 350th Martyrdom Anniversary

Shimla is set to host a grand two-day celebration commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru revered as the 'Protector of India.' Thousands are expected to gather at the Ridge Ground on November 1 and 2, where the event will include a large Nagar Kirtan and community Langar.

The festivities, declared a state-level event by Himachal Pradesh's government, will be attended by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and other dignitaries. Various religious and social bodies, such as Sud Sabha and Sanatan Dharma Sabha, have pledged their support.

Preparations are underway to ensure the event's success, with a focus on educating the younger generation about Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's legacy. The celebration aims to promote religious harmony and equality, echoing the Guru's sacrifices for dharma and human rights, reminding attendees of his powerful message of courage and faith.
