In a sharp critique of the Kerala government, Congress MP Anto Antony condemned the state for purported negligence in security protocols following an incident at Pramadam Stadium where a helipad tarmac gave way after President Droupadi Murmu's helicopter landed during her visit to the revered Sabarimala temple.

Anto Antony, speaking to ANI, insisted that the state government bears responsibility for organizing appropriate arrangements when hosting the President. He criticized the last-minute shift to an alternative landing site at a time when weather conditions barred a landing at Nilakkal, signaling gaps in planning.

Officials on the scene reported the helipad surface partially collapsed soon after the chopper landed, prompting police and fire staff to swiftly ensure the aircraft's safety. The President's visit, part of a four-day Kerala tour, also saw her being received in Thiruvananthapuram by state dignitaries including Kerala's Governor and Chief Minister.
