The Police Commemoration Day Parade took place at the Vigilance Headquarters Complex in Shimla, commemorating the ultimate sacrifice of police personnel who died in the line of duty. Presided over by Himachal Pradesh's Director General of Police, Ashok Tewari, the event saw participation from senior police officers across the state, according to an official release.

The parade, commanded by Deputy Superintendent of Police Umeshwar Rana, featured contingents from various battalions including the 1st IRBn, Bangarh, and the Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion. The ceremony included the remembrance of fallen officers, a heartfelt tribute by the DGP and senior officers who laid wreaths at the Police Martyrs' Memorial, accompanied by the poignant strains of 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon'.

The commemorative proceedings concluded with two minutes of silence, the symbolic raising of the National Flag, and the stirring sound of the Last Post. DGP Tewari paid respects to fallen officers, acknowledging the enduring strength and sacrifices of their families, which he described as the cornerstone of the police force's unwavering commitment.
