In a crucial meeting, Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal convened with Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, and Minister of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav to assess the progress of the Vadhavan Port Project. The project is considered vital for creating employment opportunities and boosting global maritime trade.
The ministers were accompanied by senior officials from relevant departments in their discussions about ensuring the project's timely completion. Goyal confirmed on 'X' the collaborative review of various facets of the project, emphasizing its critical role in India's economic expansion.
Additionally, Piyush Goyal and ministry officials met with Vice President CP Radhakrishnan at Parliament, discussing current manufacturing and foreign trade statuses. The Vice President was briefed on key initiatives like 'Make in India' and the PLI Scheme aimed at strengthening India's global manufacturing and export stature, advocating coordinated actions for a developed India vision.
