Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav celebrated Govardhan Puja with traditional fervor at his Bhopal residence, engaging in rituals of cow worship and service, known locally as 'Gau-Seva', to underline the cultural significance of the occasion.

The Chief Minister personally fed chapattis to the cows and adorned them with peacock feathers, conveying prayers for the state's prosperity. Yadav's involvement extended to Ujjain's Tilkeshwar Gaushala, where he performed similar rituals and called for increased cow protection efforts to foster milk production in Madhya Pradesh.

Govardhan Puja, observed the day after Diwali, commemorates Lord Krishna's divine act of lifting the Govardhana Hill to safeguard Vrindavana's residents. With traditional dishes and sweet treats prepared as offerings, the festival underscores a deep spiritual connection between humans, nature, and cows.
