In an alarming revelation, BRS Official Spokesperson Manne Krishank unveiled that patients at Rasoolpura Basti Dawakhana were given medicines expired three months prior. This discovery was made during a routine inspection initiated by a directive from K.T. Rama Rao, Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), mandating checks across Hyderabad's Basti Dawakhanas.

The incident spotlights gross negligence and a critical failure of oversight within healthcare facilities overseen by the Congress Government. Concerns over patient safety have escalated as this case highlights a major lapse in public health protocols and the Health Department's inability to ensure timely quality control of medicines at urban centers.

In response, the BRS has urged the Telangana Government to inspect all Basti Dawakhanas promptly, ensuring proper medicinal supplies are available for impoverished communities. Persistent negligence threatens citizens' health and safety, undermining trust in facilities established under the KCR Government. Additionally, Basti Dawakhana staff have reported not receiving salaries for five months.

The BRS Party is set to continue its thorough inspections across Basti Dawakhanas to expose deteriorating health infrastructure under the current Congress regime. This initiative follows the scandal involving a Tamil Nadu pharmaceutical company linked to 22 deaths due to toxic contaminants in cough syrup.

On October 13, the Tamil Nadu Drugs Control Department revoked Sresan Pharmaceutical Company's manufacturing license following toxic contamination findings in Coldrif cough syrup. Following the tragic incident, large-scale inspections of pharmaceutical units are underway across Tamil Nadu to ensure compliance and safety.
