At the Narangi Military Station in Guwahati, the Veterans Swabhiman Rally 2025 took center stage on Sunday, aiming to strengthen connections with the veteran community and address their concerns. Major General AK Sharma, VSM, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 51 Sub Area, highlighted that the rally, attended by veterans from remote areas, was organized as a gesture of respect and unity.
Assam Governor Lakshman Acharya, addressing the event, underscored the dedication and sacrifices of India's armed forces, stating, "Gratitude is part of our culture. Those who moved forward with the resolve to sacrifice everything for the country and society deserve our deepest respect." The Governor lauded the Indian Army for the various initiatives aimed at veterans' welfare, self-reliance, and health awareness.
The rally, organized under the aegis of Headquarters 51 Sub Area, was a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of India's armed forces veterans. It also reaffirmed national solidarity with the families of fallen heroes.
