Following a devastating fireworks factory explosion in Thrissur, Kerala BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar has renewed calls for modernizing the fireworks industry to ensure worker safety.
His appeal, shared on Facebook and 'X', stresses the urgency of upgrading safety protocols as the country progresses into 2026.
The incident, which resulted in 14 fatalities during preparations for the Thrissur Pooram festival, has prompted officials to tone down celebrations as investigations continue.
