Amarnath Yatra 2023: Preparations Underway for Thousands of Devotees
Over 25,000 pilgrims have registered for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which will commence on July 3. Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo reviewed arrangements to facilitate a seamless pilgrimage. The yatra will follow its traditional routes and conclude on August 28, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.

Amid an influx of devotees, over 25,000 pilgrims have registered for the Amarnath Yatra to the sacred cave shrine in the Himalayas, Jammu. Starting on April 15, the registration has drawn enthusiastic participants both online and offline.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo conducted a comprehensive review of the yatra preparations, setting a deadline of June 20 to finalize essential facilities. The pilgrimage is set to begin on July 3 via the traditional Nunwan-Pahalgam and Baltal routes, concluding on August 28 with the Raksha Bandhan festival.
Dulloo underscored the need for coordinated efforts to ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims, emphasizing infrastructure development, road maintenance, healthcare, and telecom connectivity among other critical services.
