The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, quashing all ongoing proceedings in a copyright infringement case linked to his film 'Kahaani 2'.
In this high-profile case, original complainant Umesh Prasad Mehta accused Ghosh of unauthorizedly using his script to produce the film, a claim that had been upheld by a lower court in Jharkhand.
Ghosh had challenged the Jharkhand High Court's refusal to quash the charges, a decision now overturned by a bench comprising Justices P S Narasimha and Alok Aradhe, bringing relief to the filmmaker.
