The Mata Vaishno Devi shrine is under a comprehensive security cover for the Chaitra Navratras, according to Shrine Board CEO Sachin Kumar Vaishya. The shrine, which is witnessing an increased influx of pilgrims, has been decorated elaborately with flowers in anticipation of the festival, ending on Ram Navami.

Ensuring safety and convenience, Vaishya announced extensive preparations, including a surge in security personnel from the army, the CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Shrine Board staff. An Integrated Command and Control Centre, coupled with high-tech CCTV surveillance, operate round-the-clock.

To facilitate more than 15 lakh pilgrims, additional facilities have been introduced, such as Sadhana Kaksh for meditation and Yagyashala for havans. Priority services for devotees with disabilities, including free battery and pony services, have also been arranged.
