Global Outcry as IOC Considers Controversial Genetic Testing

Global human rights and sports advocacy groups have issued a stern warning to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) over potential plans to implement universal genetic sex testing for female athletes. The Sport & Rights Alliance, along with 80 other organizations, claims that the IOC's Protection of the Female Category Working Group has advised these controversial policies, although the IOC has yet to confirm such recommendations. The committee previously ceased such testing following the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, emphasizing that federations should develop their own guidelines.
