Iconic screenwriter Salim Khan, best known as part of the illustrious Salim-Javed duo, has been discharged from hospital following a brain hemorrhage scare. The 90-year-old was initially hospitalized at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital and received ventilator support as a precaution.
A cornerstone of Bollywood, Khan's career boasts numerous beloved films, including 'Sholay', 'Deewar', and 'Don', which he co-wrote with partner Javed Akhtar. This duo redefined storytelling in Hindi cinema, producing two dozen blockbusters.
Khan's family, including superstar Salman Khan, supported him during his hospital stay. Initially aspiring to be an actor, Khan pivoted to writing after struggling in small roles, eventually meeting Akhtar to form a legendary partnership.
