The governing council of Kartarpur Gurdwara has initiated an urgent restoration project for the Sikh religious site, which suffered damage due to floods last year.
During a meeting chaired by Secretary of Religious Affairs, Sajid Chauhan, the council assessed the extent of the damage and emphasized the need for immediate repairs. The floods, reportedly caused by Indian water aggression, impacted portions of the Gurdwara's corridor.
The council resolved to meet again in two weeks to review progress and ensure that rehabilitation efforts remain on schedule. Highlighting the corridor project's importance as a beacon of humanitarian values and interfaith unity, Chauhan reiterated commitment to providing optimal facilities for Sikh visitors.
