Kerala's Youngest Hero: 10-Month-Old Organ Donor Honored

In a moving farewell, Kerala honored 10-month-old Aalin Sherin Abraham, who became the state’s youngest organ donor. After suffering critical injuries in a road accident, her parents consented to donate her organs following a confirmed brain death.

The heart valve, liver, kidneys, and eyes of the infant were distributed to various medical institutions, giving a new lease of life to five individuals. State honors were accorded at her funeral, attended by government officials and public figures.

Industries Minister P Rajeev expressed deep respect for the family's decision, calling it a noble act amid profound grief. The funeral, held at St Thomas CSI Church, was attended by dignitaries who praised the brave choice that continues to save lives.
