Stephen Amell Joins 'Baywatch' Reboot: A New Chapter Emerges

Stephen Amell, famous for his lead role in the superhero series 'Arrow', is set to headline the anticipated 'Baywatch' reboot. Fox has confirmed the actor will portray Hobie Buchannon, the son of the legendary Mitch Buchannon.
Described as a captivating 'wild child', Amell’s character will now serve as a Baywatch Captain. Showrunner Matt Nix expressed excitement over Amell's involvement, highlighting his charisma and energy, crucial traits for the series' new direction. 'Stephen embodies the heart and heroism the show needs,' Nix stated.
Production of this series, a reimagining of the 1989 classic, is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles. McG will direct the opener, with original creators Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, and Doug Schwartz returning as executive producers. Amell's recent project, 'The Borderline', premiered earlier this year, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
