Maha Magha Mahotsavam: Kerala's Spiritual Extravaganza Concludes Successfully

The Maha Magha Mahotsavam, often compared to Kerala's Kumbh Mela, concluded on Tuesday, drawing a staggering 20 lakh devotees, as confirmed by the organizers.
The sacred bath in the Bharathapuzha river, a key highlight of the festival, took place at Thirunavaya, a location that harks back to an era filled with rich martial traditions and power contests.
In a nod to history, the festival was inaugurated by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on January 19, bringing back the essence of the Mamankam, a celebration held every 12 years, ending in the 18th century with the British conquest of Malabar.
