In an evolution of historical significance, the Chhattisgarh legislative assembly relocates from its modest beginnings in a Raipur school to a state-of-the-art facility in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Officials confirmed this momentous transition coincides with the 23rd anniversary of the state's formation from Madhya Pradesh in 2000.
The new legislative complex, spanning 51 acres and costing Rs 324 crore, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Raipur. Designed to reflect both cultural roots and progressive vision, the structure fuses traditional Chhattisgarh art with cutting-edge engineering, embodying the region's spirit of innovation.
This architectural marvel includes solar power integration, rainwater harvesting, and facilities like a 500-seat auditorium. With motifs echoing Chhattisgarh’s identity as India’s 'Rice Bowl', it stands as a testament to sustainability and technological foresight for future legislative processes.
