The film 'Roi Roi Binale' marks the last screen appearance of renowned singer-composer Zubeen Garg, who tragically passed away in Singapore. The film has sparked an overwhelming response as audiences flock to view it in theaters statewide despite its 4.25 am premieres.
Anticipated to break Assamese cinema's box office records, the film portrays Garg in a poignant role as a blind musician, underscoring his artistic legacy after his untimely death at sea on September 19. Garg carried significant creative duties, contributing 11 songs and producing the venture.
The Assam government announced plans to donate the state’s GST revenue from the film to the Kalaguru Artiste Foundation, a charity initiated by Garg for the underprivileged. This act aims to immortalize Garg's societal contributions beyond his cinema and music.
