Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, asserting that the removal of Article 370 was a fitting tribute to Patel's vision. The Chief Minister commemorated the occasion by inaugurating the 'Run for Unity' and paying floral homage to Patel's statue.

Known as 'National Unity Day,' the event sought to reinforce the ideals of unity and integrity among citizens. Adityanath highlighted Patel's achievement in unifying 563 princely states into India post-independence, thwarting British plots. He stressed there could be no compromise on the nation's unity.

While promoting the 'Run for Unity'—held at over 600 locations nationwide including all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh—the Chief Minister underscored its symbolism for India's unity and social harmony. Officials and citizens participating in these events were reminded of Patel's enduring legacy.
