The 31st Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) will feature 215 films from 39 countries, scheduled from November 6-13 at 21 Kolkata venues, announced state minister Aroop Biswas.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate the festival, screening the classic 'Saptapadi' starring Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen. Details about other esteemed guests will follow shortly.
The festival highlights include 185 feature films, 30 short films, and a focus on Polish cinema. Sections like 'Unheard India' and tributes to directors like Ritwik Ghatak place cultural diversity and cinematic excellence at the forefront.
