Goswami's career saw him contribute to numerous newspapers, including 'Asom Bhumi,' where he served as an editor, as well as 'Dainik Agradoot,' 'Dainik Janambhumi,' and 'News Star.' He also had a significant stint at the news agency UNI, retiring as the Bureau Chief of the Patna unit.

Aside from his editorial responsibilities, Goswami was a prolific writer, with several books to his name in the Assamese language, tackling themes from folk tales to Assamese identity and media freedom.
