President Droupadi Murmu's Historic Visit to Sabarimala Temple

President Droupadi Murmu made history on Wednesday by offering prayers at the Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala, marking her as the first female head of state to visit the revered shrine. This historic visit saw President Murmu engaging in traditional rituals at a site nestled deep within Kerala's forests.

Her visit follows that of the late President V V Giri, who first visited the temple in the 1970s. During her pilgrimage, President Murmu arrived at Pamba by a special convoy, performed rituals in the Pampa river, and proceeded to nearby temples, including the Lord Ganapathy shrine.

President Murmu's journey was meticulously planned, with security and traditional ceremonies highlighted throughout.
