The Students' Federation of India (SFI) emerged victorious in the 2026 student council elections at Dr B R Ambedkar University (AUD), securing a majority at several campus locations. This marks SFI's fourth consecutive win, reflecting a strong student endorsement against the administration's alleged anti-student policies.

At the Kashmere Gate campus, SFI garnered the support of 13 councillors, achieving a majority in the 25-member council. SFI unit president in Delhi, Sooraj Elamon, emphasized the importance of their victory, stating that the election process operates in two tiers. First, councillors are elected; next, the student body with majority support prevails.

Impressive performances were also recorded at Karampura and Lodhi Road campuses, where SFI won a significant number of seats. In total, SFI secured 21 seats across Ambedkar University Delhi, outperforming rivals like the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and All India Students' Association (AISA). SFI attributes its consistent electoral success to robust student backing since elections commenced in 2018.
