The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) faced an unusual situation during the Class 12 mathematics board exam when a QR code on the question paper led students to the music video of Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. The incident is identified as 'rickrolling', a popular internet prank.
Despite initial concerns regarding the authenticity and security of the exam paper, CBSE officials maintained that the integrity of the examination process remains intact. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj affirmed that the papers are genuine and secure.
The event sparked a broader critique from political circles, with Congress's Kerala unit referencing the incident on social media. CBSE has committed to implementing measures to prevent similar occurrences in future examinations.
