Negligence at School: Six-Year-Old Loses Fingers in Door Accident

A Class 1 student, six-year-old Chinmayi Devi, lost two fingers in a door accident at a government primary school in Tumakuru district, sparking allegations of negligence against school authorities.
The incident reportedly occurred when the young girl's fingers got caught in a door, leading to the severing of two fingers. Alarmingly, the severed fingers were allegedly discarded in a trash bin before she was taken to the hospital for treatment, police revealed.
An FIR has been registered against the block education officer, the headmaster, a teacher, and another staff member for negligence, delay in informing authorities, and alleged destruction of evidence. Police have committed to conducting a thorough investigation to gather evidence and proceed with charges.
