Tripura's Chief Minister, Manik Saha, launched WiFi facilities on Tuesday for 11 additional government general degree colleges, marking a significant advancement in the state's digital education efforts.
This initiative ensures that every general degree college in the region now boasts internet access, as the rollout of WiFi, initially starting last October, expands to cover all 30 colleges. Plans are already in place to extend this to polytechnic institutes.
The Rs 12.32 crore project aims to bridge the digital divide, foster collaboration and innovation, and promote digital literacy across the student population. Financial aid for mobile phones and new data center projects further underline the government's commitment to integrating technology with education.
