Reliance Retail: Expanding Horizons with Steady Growth

Reliance Retail Venture Ltd (RRVL), the retail division of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries, announced a marginal increase in its profit after tax, reaching Rs 3,563 crore for the March quarter. The company also reported an increase in gross revenue by 10.84% to Rs 98,232 crore during the same period.
For the fiscal year 2025-26, RRVL's gross revenue saw an 11.83% rise, reaching Rs 3.70 lakh crore. The growth was attributed to broad-based advancements across consumption categories and the robust expansion of hyper-local commerce, as stated by the parent company, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL). The retailer added 1,564 stores in the fiscal year, bringing the total store count to 20,160.
Chairman Mukesh Ambani emphasized the retailer's deep omnichannel approach and understanding of the Indian consumer as key growth drivers. Reliance Retail's customer base grew by 10.9% to 387 million in FY26, affirming its position as a preferred retailer. The company also recorded 1.93 billion total transactions, marking a 38.8% year-on-year growth.
