French spirits giant Pernod Ricard announced on Tuesday that it has not reached a decision about a possible stock market listing for its Indian subsidiary. Although exploring options to enhance shareholder value, the company underscored that no specific actions have been finalized.

The company, which boasts brands such as Absolut, Chivas Regal, and Glenlivet, regularly evaluates its strategic prospects, including optimizing its capital structure. Pernod Ricard India, the firm's local unit, remains a leading player in the country's alcohol beverage sector, reporting a revenue of Rs 27,446 crore for FY2024-25.

India is Pernod Ricard's largest market by volume and ranks second by value. While IPO plans are not part of the company's deleveraging strategy, strong sales and premiumization trends in India have bolstered its position as a key market.
