A tragic accident unfolded in the early hours on NH 167 in Mantralayam, Kurnool district, where eight devotees, including five women, lost their lives.
Investigations reveal the Light Commercial Vehicle was traveling with 20 passengers when it collided with a tanker, exacerbated by driver drowsiness and overcrowding.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences and urged officials to provide optimal medical care for the injured, some of whom have been shifted to Kurnool Government General Hospital.
