President Donald Trump has projected a significant decrease in oil prices following the conclusion of the ongoing conflict with Iran. In a Sunday interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Trump mentioned that fuel prices could stabilize or even rise slightly by the upcoming congressional elections in November.

However, Trump later clarified these remarks, asserting they were misquoted, and conveyed a more optimistic outlook for energy markets. Speaking from the White House in a taped interview with Bartiromo broadcast on Wednesday, he expressed contentment with oil priced at USD 92 per barrel but anticipated a substantial price drop post-conflict.

Trump emphasized that once the war has settled, gas prices, currently over USD 4 a gallon, will decrease significantly, calling for a hopeful resolution soon. By the elections, he envisions a more affordable energy landscape for consumers.
