In a significant restructuring move, Dev Information Technology Limited (DEV IT) has declared its intent to transfer ByteSIGNER and Talligence, two of its product businesses, to Byte Technosys Private Limited, a related entity. The decision comes as DEV IT aims to sharpen its strategic focus, officials announced on April 2, in Mumbai.
The transaction, valued at ₹11.90 Crore, is structured as a standalone slump sale, independent of any merger or amalgamation. It qualifies as a related party transaction, executed on an arm's length basis supported by independent valuation, officials confirmed. The completion date is anticipated to be on or before September 30, 2026.
Byte Technosys will absorb ByteSIGNER and Talligence, facilitating a concentrated growth environment while allowing DEV IT to concentrate on its core competencies. This move is poised to enhance operational efficiency, reduce redundancies, and improve market alignment, setting the stage for future growth, according to DEV IT management.
